Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Another success story! Picofly, kamikaze and a fet. I forgot to take a pic of the Picofly though(RP2040-Zero). Picofly has what i always use, 100/100/68R resistors. Almost instant boot. No pic with soldermask, but it's there just like in Sthetix kamikaze video. This is the second kamikaze i...

Hacking Fresh installed HWFLY OLED. Hekate show Battery 0%, 0 amp current

Here from 3 sides. Initially i cut only the needed like 1cm of shield wall to get access to the CLK point, but took more away to see better. There's one cut-looking trace in middle of first picture. I scratched it to see if it's cut but it's not. I tried also flushing the board with ipa, the...

Hacking Fresh installed HWFLY OLED. Hekate show Battery 0%, 0 amp current

Hello! I have same exact problem. I have installed many chips on OLEDs, and being extra careful. THe Switch was fully working with no problems. This time i attempted the kamikaze method next to CMD point. First time doing it, and success. Booting nearly instantly. I haven't disassembled to show...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Yea, so to make it fail free install, people should always use two fets. About the extra resistors, 100R instead of 47R, is there really any disadvantage from using always 100R for both? I have uses 100R/100R/68R for all installs and no problems so far. I think now i've done 9 or 10 mods with...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Gives nothing. Only 0,5V reversed to ground(red lead gnd) I also added more solder to everything. Did i miss something, like a resistor somewhere etc.? All i think is needed is just the fet.

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Hello! I tried the backside FET method on OLED, but all i get is this error: "CPU always reach BCT check (no glitch reaction, checkmosfet)" I'm using the IRFHS8242. Already tried another FET incase it was broken but still same. Using fw 2.73. Any suggestions?

    HWfly-nx updater for Linux?

Thank you for your suggestions. I thought about virtualbox, and actually tried with Win7 which i have installed, but i couldn't get it to find the device because driver problems. I found out it was supposed to work straight away with Win10, so i dualbooted it. But still problems. Linux finds the...

Hacking RELEASE [Trinket] [Rebug] [Others] [Modchip Software] *NEW* Fusee_Suite UF2 packages

Just need a fine soldering tip and it's easy to solder to those spots. But yea it's about experience. I always prefer doing everything on one side if possible.

Hacking RELEASE [Trinket] [Rebug] [Others] [Modchip Software] *NEW* Fusee_Suite UF2 packages

Soldering on the front side has also it's perks. No need to remove all cables and screws risking of breaking them and you can test right away after install.

Hacking WIP [Trinket] [Rebug] [Others] SWITCHBOOT_UF2 / FUSEE_UF2 modchip software

The trinket M0 is cheaper than the RCMX86 and does exactly the same, and you don't need to order it from china and you get what you order. Also the reset button is more convenient than the magnet switch. Another more reliable way to get the drive to show up on computer is to just plug the USB...

    Switch OLED teardown V1/V2

I flashed 0.6.1 and this is what it does. Nothing else. No effect if i have 0.6b2 bootloader or the new. When i flash 0.6b2 back, it brings me with solid while after a second of flashing other things. I installed a new CPU adapter, but no difference. I guess my SX core is just broken. Edit...

    Switch OLED teardown V1/V2

it's just a signal and not vcc. And how electronic boards work, if you ground a signal, it doesn't break anything, just malfunctioning. In this instance, doesn't boot because clock signal is interrupted.
