    Hi all, A quick message to say that the component (Q6) that i use to put freeze gaz on it to switch the console on, died completely, freeze gaz was not efficient anymore... So i desoldered it and replace it with the same from another bricked wii u and it worked...but only 1 time after...

    Hi, I'am sorry. When i say we changed the transistor, i mean that we ask a specialist to do it for us (we do not have the right tool). He just swapped the component from another Wii u motherboard (bricked one). We did not use a new one, so perhaps it was going to die, worked for 15-20 switch...

    Hi, you're welcome. We did not try a new drive after replacing transitor, sorry. But we tried that before changing transistor : - replacing the entire dvd drive----> no go - replacing little motherboard on original dvd drive with another new motherboard----> no go - using new dvd drive with...

    Hi,originaly, we thought it was this one: We changed it. It worked for like 10-20 switch on, then it failed again... Now i got my wii u always opened with a cloth on it (for dust lol) and i apply in this area of IC's some cold spray then it start... So weird...No one can explain to me why it...

    I apologize, but i recently changed the component with a new one and problem still occur...it still need some cold to boot It must be another componet nearby.

    Oh ok, thx for clarifying. I think mine try to spin it but fail with distinctive sound (clak) on 1 try, and try again a second time, that when (second try) sometimes the disk spin and console boot up, but after many many tries... But i have a question : if pcb card on dvd drive was not from this...

    Same issue here (160-1402) cannot boot without disk, but if i insert a disk, sometimes after many many tries, the cd begin to load (spin) and console start...So weird... There is related stuff here https://gbatemp.net/threads/requestion-remarry-wii-u-dvd-drive.451260/.
