    Just bough the microSD w/ Adapter (Samsung Evo Plus microSDHC 32GB U1 with Adapter) And the boot time is by 2 seconds slower. With full-sized SD card its about 13 secs and w/ adapter is about 15 secs auto Note that the microSD card is 32GB and the full-sized SD is 4GB so the delay may is due...

    What you mean by the term "spare"? No, I meant the points of failure you previously said. I just thought that in case I sell my 3ds I will keep the microSD for other uses. SD except from dslr etc isn't being heavily used.

    Is the risk high? Because in the price of the samsung microSD mentioned above i will get Kingston Canvas Select SDHC 32GB U1 (i'm not willing to spend more money). Does it worth to pick Kingston SD over samsung/sandisk microSD?
