    I thought it might be. The mosfet under m92t36 I guess switches vcc from usb to m92t36? I removed these three and the short was still there so maybe there is corrosion under m92t36 or the mosfet that I missed.

    We tried all that, even Fresh system install on new hard drive and issue remains. It's 100% a hardware issue of some sort. I am thinking apu related but I am open to other suggestions.

    OK, I dug out my extra fine probes and figured I would start on the ic, pins 2 - 5 are shorted. I also retested 1-5 and 2 - 4 and they are also shorted. I can only assume that I wasn't getting good contact with my other probes.

    No, That was with power bank, I just tried with Nintendo charger and reading 0v on pin 9 and on the fuse above usb port. Nintendo charger is working (I just double checked on my working switch)
