Hacking Hardware Need help with New 240plus chip on Switch V1 (XAJ4) patched

If you follow a guide, they say that sometimes the chip has enough power to boot but not enough to run the operating system. Check your wiring, then double check with a multimeter if you have one.

Hardware Mig Switch on Switch 2

They started this way before the switch 2 emulation. https://www.hklii.hk/en/cases/hkcfi/2003/217

Hardware Be careful with third party cables. Friend was just banned for using a USB C to HDMI Cable. It was flashed with a custom FW to work with the Switch 2.

IF there is any truth to this, it may be something Nintendo can detect from the usb signal. The protocol that tells the dock to output video or charge etc. is it possible that Nintendo sees this as a possible attempt to circumvent something or as an attack vector?

The Switch Flashcart Thread (Mig Switch etc.)

This sounds a lot like the old 360 drive firmware days, next thing we will have stealth firmware for the mig 😂

Hacking I've recovered about 30gb of data from a development switch, help?

Cheers, I'm trying to get my head around it now. I'll look at the sdtool and see if I can get it to play nice with the files I've recovered. I've got all the prod.keys dev.keys etc, fingers crossed there is something useful, the files date back to 2019-20. As an aside, is there anyway to update...

The Switch Flashcart Thread (Mig Switch etc.)

I have a feeling the 1.2.0 was rushed out to placate, it was a little quick for my liking. Maybe in time or new cart design. The untrimmed dumps come in 2,4,8,16 and 32gb. The exact size of the flash memory in the official carts, it's like an image including all blank unused areas. I imagine...

Hacking I've recovered about 30gb of data from a development switch, help?

I've recovered a load of files from a formatted edev console, I've literally no idea what they contain and I'm looking for a way to compile or somehow recover the data into nsp files of there is a way. How best to achieve this?

Hacking Restore deleted files from EDEV switch eMMC

Thanks for this, seems like this is a good place to go. Not sure if it will recover deleted files though, going to work through it and see where I get. Cheers 1750444485 Making progress slowly with this. What file recovery software is recommended to retrieve files from the mounted partition, are...

Hacking Restore deleted files from EDEV switch eMMC

I've got a 64gb nand backup from an edev switch, I have all the keys etc. This switch was formatted to factory settings which deleted any and all files on it, it has not been written to since. I would like to have a go at restoring any deleted files or apps like devmenu to the system, any ideas...

The Switch Flashcart Thread (Mig Switch etc.)

I wonder what exactly was changed in the firmware for the mig to get it working. Hoping that it wasn't a dirty fix that will be detectable, for this reason I'm going to stick with the original carts on the switch 2 for now.

Hacking Hardware Factory reset EDEV unit nand

That's what I thought, are the current Pico type mods useable in this? The hardware is pretty much the same apart from the larger nand, it certainly looks that way.

Hacking Hardware Factory reset EDEV unit nand

Thanks for the reply, actually found out that the keys are not correct. I made an error and thought this was able to be read by putting the nand in a v1 switch however stupidly read the keys from that and got those keys (mostly, there were some additional devices keys in there too but none that...

Hacking Hardware Factory reset EDEV unit nand

I have a raw nand dump including all keys for a 64gb HAT-002 unit, the switch was reset by somebody who didn't know what it was. I'm trying to find a way to run test disk or some other software to see if there is anything recoverable on the nand, I am running into a few bumps though. Has anyone...
