    I use the Ultra Speed one from Wal-Mart I got the 500 GB for 68$ CAD plus tax. Like this one; http://walmart.crosscap.ca/Canada-Electron...839&tabId=1 It has the WD caviar green HDD in it. (Only 8MB Cache thou) It works well.

    Stevebenz, It sounds like the "F2" fuse is blown, you'll need to replace it or bridge it. I recommend replacing it. See the pic below for F1 and F2 fuse locations; If replacing or bridging the F2 fuse does not fix your problem then try the F1 fuse. I hope this helps

    To the OP it sounds like it could be the L2 power inductor. Doing a quick Google it looks to be a 33uH. Try replacing it and seeing if that works. To tell you the truth I have a mobo doing the same thing and an other one where the mic got wet and fried. So I am going to harvest the L2 inductor...

    You could try this: Open with notepad, delete some info / code from it, and then save as .doc Try and re-open it. It should corrupt it.

    There are lots of things that can be used a sharp knife, a plastic knife aka hot knife, or even a hack saw ... best bet is the plastic knife as it leaves a nice edge if done right. It kind of looks like a soldering iron but with a flat blade. sorry wrong addy try this one...
