Thanks, I just didn't realize I needed to move the backup into the restore folder. All I had to do was that, and move the emu nintendo folder and it works perfectly.
Unless you fuck up royally, the biggest risk is getting your console banned from Nintendo's online servers. You can use incognito mode to prevent your switch from connecting to the servers in the first place, preventing a ban.
I'm running out of space on my SD card and decided using emuMMC is just a waste of space. I think I've played online like once and never use my sysnand. Right now I don't see the point in using it. I want to migrate my emunand to the sysnand but can't figure out how. I read...
It's highly doubtful that Golden Mushroom had anything to do with the port. If the pot is a success and they make a sequel it will probably be done by Piko.
No need to remove the SD card, even if Nintendo did read the card to see if there was any files related to homebrew they couldn't ban you because it is not against the TOS to have them, just to run them.

Is there any point in holding back and not updating? I know I can't do any thing now, but could this prevent me from using a new method in the future to hack my switch? I would like to be able to use online but not if it means I can't hack it later.
I spent a lot of time unlocking things. I've completed almost all of the challenges, finished all events on hard, got most of the trophies. Using someone else's save just feels like cheating.
