Hacking Question Point in not updating from 6.2 on patched switch

Is there any point in holding back and not updating? I know I can't do any thing now, but could this prevent me from using a new method in the future to hack my switch? I would like to be able to use online but not if it means I can't hack it later.

Currently, only upto 6.0.1 is supported on patched switches, with people working on trying to get new exploits for 6.2+, the lower you are the better

Just buy an unpatched unit if you want to run CFW, you will never know when they will release support for patched unit.

The golden rule of hacking has and will always be stay on as low as a firmware as possible because lower firmwares are more likely to have exploits than higher firmwares. Take a look at the PS4 scene for example; there is currently no CFW for firmwares past 5.0.5 while the latest firmware is 6.5. Either don't update or buy a second console, preferably unpatched.

no one knows when CFW for ipatched units will be released, seems like it's very very very very far away
