    Hey, it's been awhile for me but I was still wondering if there is away I can still update from 8.74 to 9.00 still? EDIT: Sorry, I meant to say that the BD isn't working because of the daughter board and the PS4 update is stuck on 8.74.

    It can be fixed, but you need the original daughter board that went with the one you installed into the PS4. If you don't have it or is unable to get the original DB that went with that present working motherboard, the ps4 can't update... until future exploits are hopefully developed to get...

    I have an phat not an slim. I also have another phat that was 4.74 I think, I got that updated to 5.05 and JB through an exploit/trick to work around the NoBD issue. I did swap but it still didn't work despite having successful swaps with the wrong chip :( however the JB one can read and play...

    Yeah, an XBOX One was given to me and there really isn't a game I want to play on it. There was RDR but because RS botched the update and makes Undead nightmare have bugs (people with no bodies under there clothes) and crashes. I would say Jail breaking consoles is an good thing. 5-10 years...

    Well it's for Onechanbara z2 Chaos. I want the DLC I got on the other PS4 so badly on the JB PS4 and it's a game that can run under 5.05. But because the JB PS4 is 5.05 and the other 8.74 I'm guessing it won't work now.

    So if my PSN account is the same account on my JB PS4 could I use the other ps4 with my PSN account on it hard drive as an external to retrieve DLC I downloaded off of PSN on that drive onto the JB drive then? EDIT: Oops I spoke too late, sigh.....

    Hopefully someone takes pity and does backport the ExFat exploit. It sucks having a working PS4 (except BD obviously) that's gimped by married proprietary code specific only to each console and not so easily repairable

    That would have been the 8.74 FW of the ps4 I can't update to 9.00. It doesn't seem that it does have the ability to connect to psn because they ask me to update to 9.03 to go on psn.

    Yeah, unfortunately it really seems that way unless someone does work on an noBD exploit that can help me get out from under 8.74 to 9.00.

    Hoping the lower firmware is 8.74 as the PlayStation I have can't seem to update to 9.00 because of the daughter board on the blue ray drive.

    I have one with goldHen2.0 on 5.05. I wanted to update to 9.00 (doesn't seem like a good idea to do so after seeing other peoples post talking about it) I did the NOBD exploit to get to 5.05 from 4.74. I also have another PS4 with No BD working as well on 8.74 that I'm hoping to get to 9.00...

    Hardware I can't update to latest firmware (SU 42118-6)

    That's really good to hear!! I just need to wait then. Hopefully I can use an dual docking station to clone the internal drive onto the 1TB I have. I asked just incase there was an more specific way I should go about it backing the drive up.
