    Very late update, but I was able to fix both of them! I procrastinated really hard on replacing the top screen on the N3DSXL because I thought it wouldn't work, but it did! Very happy with both repairs.

    Top screen cabled ripped. I hate these things so much. I won't vent in a public forum but I will be buying a new top screen cable, waiting for it to show up, and install it, and hopefully this thing will finally be done. At least now I won't forget how to do these repairs.
