    Thanks mike but that has somewhat lost me? NSMB? HDD is connected to correct partition and i formatted in fat32 then used wbfs manager to format to wbfs the same as i did with the usb pen drive. I'm no so fussed about usb loader as i will go and buy a new HDD as the old one is only 80gb...

    Yes that's what I was trying to do. The HDD was said to be on the ok list with USB loader but didn't work. Next day the disks won't work. Does anyone know if I can try another DVD drive on my Wii to see if it's the drive at fault? A friend has said we can try his but can any drive go on any wii?
