    The problem is that GW may not be treating an emuNAND image as a "NAND dump". Somone with a Flash kit could test this though.

    You can't modify the firmware in sysNAND simply because it won't boot and you will get a bricked 3DS. The only reason it works for emuNAND is due to the patches Gateway applies with their hack. Unless the modified firmware gets signed correctly (which is not possible by hacking the console)...
