Homebrew Homebrew 2.0 and JK Manager Question

Rosalina is the custom OS/In-game menu added in Luma CFW. Luma is the CFW most everyone is on. Since you're on an earlier FW, it should be pretty straight forward for you to move to CFW. It's the 11.6 FW that it get's harder to mod. Just follow along on the guide at https://3ds.guide and be...

Homebrew Homebrew 2.0 and JK Manager Question

I was about to suggest CFW as well. May seem a bit extreme, but honestly, it'll be better in the long run. You can do just about anything on CFW while without CFW, you usually have to find workarounds (much like this case) to get stuff to run.

ROM Hack [Release] Metroid Samus Returns Save Editor

Your welcome. If I had to guess, I'd say it has to do with the executable entry points changing as HBL uses exploits in order execute custom code. As such, it may not be as stable as the .cia version. Uh...maybe? If you're stuck, modify your save to have a lot of energy and/or aeion energy. If...

ROM Hack [Release] Metroid Samus Returns Save Editor

@RedRose30: Been using JKSM for all of my testing and haven't had any issues whatsoever. Not sure how your homebrew setup is but I'm on the lastest version of Luma and running the 6-30-2016 build of JKSM. Try that build or perhaps reinstall it if you have it already, otherwise, I would suggest...

ROM Hack Another Metroid Samus Returns Save Editor

Sorry about the lack of updates. Been busy with work... I've attached my first 'beta' build of AMSRSE. It can be found as an attachment on the first post. This serves as a test build for the overall file interaction as well as a first run implementation of the UI. The design is based of of...

ROM Hack Another Metroid Samus Returns Save Editor

Haha, so that's what those arrays are! Should have figured. The original metroid had its rooms allocated in memory in a similar fashion. (I'd post the image but I think my post count is too low). Great find! Now we can have an 'all maps downloaded' option on the save editor. I'll also be trying...

ROM Hack [Release] Metroid Samus Returns Save Editor

Maybe because the 'point' of my save editor is to be a complete editor. The two currently released really aren't fully featured. Correct me if I'm wrong, but MSRAU only edits the data in pkprlf.bmssv. Your's wont work past the 4 initial item entries added on a new game. What's the point of...

ROM Hack [Release] Metroid Samus Returns Save Editor

I'm currently working on my own version of a save editor. On my discussion thread, I've been documenting all of the different blocks and chunks of data that I can identify. In my tests, I've found that the game doesn't care where the blocks/chunks are located, as the game is just walking through...

ROM Hack Another Metroid Samus Returns Save Editor

Here's what's known (or hypothesized thus far): common.bmssv Data (Based on 100% save) pkprfl.bmssv[To be analysed] samus.bmssvSeems to be all of the game's event flags stored in a series of blocks. I would presume a chunk (or series of chunks) would represent different...

ROM Hack Another Metroid Samus Returns Save Editor

I've been a lurker on the forum for quite some time now, and after stumbling on the save editor by rog9001, I felt I could contribute by continuing the development for a save editor. Based on the findings by BtEtta (thanks for the parsing of the format and file viewer!), I will be creating a...
