Hacking Emulation RetroArch/Libretro Thread: PS Vita Edition! Nightlies Included

Sega CD games (and possibly other implemented systems) are crashing immediately for me on any release of Retroarch later than v1.4.1. I am using the PicoDrive core which I've always had the best luck with (as opposed to Genesis Plus GX). Please see screenshots below: Below is my current...

    Hacking Adrenaline v3 Released!

Nope. The context of my post makes it clear that we would need to be able to use popsloader to fix this issue.

    Hacking Adrenaline v3 Released!

Another notable issue is with Chrono Cross using the default 6.61 POPS. It crashes during a few boss battles like the Dwarf Chieftain in the Hydra Marshes and Lynx in Fort Dragonia... I've found that using a custom eboot with 6.60 POPS fixes these crashes. This is the same behavior on actual PSP...

    Hacking Adrenaline v3 Released!

I think it would be faster to make a list of games not working. Resident Evil 2 and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PSN versions) both work just fine BTW. People should start listing games that require an earlier version of POPS such as Dragon Warrior VII (invisible text, requires 3.52)

    Hacking Adrenaline v3 Released!

Correct, which is why I said no DW7 for me...

    Hacking Adrenaline v3 Released!

Sure but I can't imagine that it would add any new compatibility. Certainly possible that a few games might be broken but I have yet to find any so far...

    Hacking Adrenaline v3 Released!

Wouldn't the compatibility be the same as standard 6.61 POPS?

I wonder if they could get CPUs to run that hot then use the heat to power a steam turbine to power the CPUs....
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Good idea, or at least power the GPU

It's not the movies or games downloads that I would worry about, like breaking into networks, downloading encrypted things, spying on network traffic. I have seen so many "Top Secret" seals on files when I was a kid
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I was obsessed with finding UFOs, a surprising amount of US files where stashed on computers in other countries, China back in the early 90s omg sooo much
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea that crazy, I've never tried hack into anything, I just pirate, and my ISP have send me 3-4 letters, so had to VPN it

I bet now a 4090 could probably crack it? Hmmm maybe not even back then I'm pretty sure they where using like 1024 bit encryption
