    Hacking Is my PS3 hackable?

Well that sucks but thank you for the information. There's so much out there and finally I just have a nice simple answer.

    Hacking Is my PS3 hackable?

I just wanna confirm something here: Am I correct in assuming that a PS3 (super slim) running firmware 4.76 can never be downgraded and therefore never be jailbroken? Short of swapping out the optical drive or doing something that requires soldering, etc?

    Hacking Using Cheats With Sakura?

Quick question, apologies if it's been asked a zillion times already: I'm using sakura (the latest, I believe) on an M3 DS Real and I'd like to be able to use cheats. But I'm new to the cheat scene and not quite sure how they work. I know there's a file that contains all the cheats (I think) but...

Hacking Help With M3 DS Real - Man I'm confused

Ah, okay, thanks. The good news is, all the roms I tried worked this time around, with the exception of Assassin's Creed 2. Regardless, great to have my DS back and great to be able to play some of these newer games. Thanks again to everyone that chimed in on this, rest assured that I really...

Hacking Help With M3 DS Real - Man I'm confused

Awesome, thanks for the quick reply. I'm gonna load up the roms that wouldn't work way back when and keep my fingers crossed. Just curious- what's the difference between Sakura and the loader that Goli suggested? Anything I'm missing out on by using Sakura? Cause I would have happily used the...

Hacking Help With M3 DS Real - Man I'm confused

Okay well I removed the loader that Goli suggested I use and put on something called "Sakura" now things seem to work. This is the name of the file I used: 4374-M3_Sakura_1.48X_TouchPod_4.8dX I'm not sure why this works but the other one did not though. I'm also not sure if this will allow me...

Hacking Help With M3 DS Real - Man I'm confused

Okay, got a little problem here. I loaded up the software and the roms onto my micro sd card, put the card into the ds real and while it does read the card, it's pretty slow and kinda wonky. And when I select a rom, a get a "failure to create save file" message and that's it. No games will...

Hacking Help With M3 DS Real - Man I'm confused

This is awesome, thank you so much. Now I just need my new lite to show up (coming Wednesday) so I can give this a shot. Can't wait to try some of those games that white screened me way back when. Just a couple follow up questions, if I can push my luck just a tad further: is the white screen...

This is great, thank you. I appreciate it. I don't imagine this software fixes those white screen issues with certain games, does it? Or is that a totally unrelated issue? Either way, thanks for the quick response.

Hacking Help With M3 DS Real - Man I'm confused

Really hoping someone can help me out with this: So my DS Lite broke a few months ago and I finally got a new one and now I want to start getting up to date with flash cart stuff. But there are just so many loaders, firmware, software, etc. I have NO idea what's what and there seems to be 10 of...

Illinois is working to ban toxic food additives that have been banned for decades in other countries; additives that can be replaced and all those countries still have Skittles and Mountain Dew. Title of the piece: GUBMINT WANTS TO TAKE AWAY YOUR CANDY
  • Veho @ Veho:
Gee, I wonder if the author is biased?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Veho, Sounds and smells like bullshit. They don't give you cancer, and California should know that. I don't get why they stick labels that say "may or may not cause reproductive harm or cancer".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Arsenic doesn't give you cancer either.

  • Veho @ Veho:
California has already banned those additives BTW.

Mame should be two sets one for preservation of everything and one set for people who just want to play and enjoy the old old ganes
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Psionic Roshambo, Shouldn't preservation be legal tho?

I swear like 99% of arcade games wouldn't even exist these days outside of MAME the arcade machines are old and busted very few ever saw any sort of home conversion
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
We get 37 versions of Super Mario Bros but 0 of Beast Busters

@Psionic Roshambo, There's a lot of obscure Japanese arcade titles that are either lost to time or dumped.

It's so unfair, maybe AI can save us lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean if a company could use AI to do the work of a home conversion for essentially free why not? The rights for some games are completely lost though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
