    Hi all, My PS3 fat model has no BD drive, I have NoBD CFW installed but I want to upgrade the HDD to an SSD. My question is, if I take the HDD out, will I be able to use recovery mode to restore the stock firmware before then applying the CFW NoBD?

    It won't read the backup discs I have, it runs retail so I know the drive is fine and I know the backups are fine because they run on the flashed console...

    Can confirm this. Also, if using a USB HDD you can only play Xbox One, 360 and OG Xbox from it - in order to play games optimised for the Series S you’ll need the official expansion unit.
