    I'd say when it crashes during an installation, which is nothing more than writing to the internal flash, then it could be a hardware damage in the memory. That'd also explain the other problems. If you can find a homebrew tool to check the NAND, then you should give it a go.

    ...but the media is. There are games bigger than what a dual layer DVD can hold. So the drive is most likely capable of reading true Blu-rays.

    You still need a game to hack vWii? I did it without. Well, I needed a 7€ game from Nintendo store to hack the WiiU. But with this costs I could eventually hack both.

    How to change the download directory? You can only type the path the GUI won't let type a colon. Edit: found it. You need to edit the settings file outside of the GUI, because in the settings windows it won't save the settings anyway. Bad coding.
