I tried. I really tried understanding the concept behind "woke" as well as the opposing party… but failed! I'm surely not the brightest candle on the cake, but also not a complete moron. This whole stuff makes zero sense. It is even less suitable for describing positions than the rubbish attributes "left" and "right" in political sense. Reducing oneself on a single word is destined to fail.

What I see is a radicalization on both sides making a bogeyman out of different groups, things, attitudes with the very same methods. The enemy is different, the behavior the same. Many people preaching "diversity and tolerance" are fundamentally unable to cope with disagreement and see any opposing view as a personal attack that triggers a load of name-calling and accusations.

Even wanting somebody to read more than a few (key-)words (ab)used to perform pigeonholing is expecting too much nowadays. Say the wrong keyword, rather trigger word, and you get a stamp "anti-woke", "*phob", "far right" that will stick.

Sorry, a human personality is supposed to be more complex than a slogan on a button.

I suppose so, but still - the incredibly drastic difference between Minecraft and, say, Resident Evil or Uncharted should make it obvious the former should be 100% animated. The latter two are supposed to be AUs of Earth, with realistic people; Minecraft isn't.

Sure, The LEGO Movie did have live-action characters, but it was worked in well, so it wasn't incredibly jarring - most of the movie takes place in LEGO World; it's only near the end that it's revealed the Dad is controlling the glue, and his son is on Emmet's side.
Could've at least done similar for Minecraft Movie.
