Now when I was a kid there were only 151 Pokemon, and when you wanted to cheat, you got Pikablu (remember him?) and Togepi. So bear with me on these newfangled DS cheating methods:
Me and my brother just got legit copies of Diamond and Pearl. He wants all the event-only Pokemon on his Pearl. So...
If I had known the dev for DSLinux was hanging around over there, I'd probably have been less impersonal about it. I was just dropping the name of the prog for anyone who was still following my trail after I gave up the search for a coder. I think they have a right to know what the alternatives...
If anyone can get in contact with Sonny Jim, to let him know about this, it would be appreciated. I'll just leave a PM for him and stop bumping this topic.
Yeah, exactly. I'm just thinking the ergonomics could be improved for the default, but the fully-customizable deal is always preferable in any application. Though if I had dead spots on my touchscreen I'd probably just stick with games that are button controlled. That sounds annoying.
That's weird. You'd think a virtual keyboard would be the first thing that's independent from the OS.
Regardless, if that's true, then I'm having a hard time finding a reason to commission the changes to DSLinux at all. I don't think it's fair not to enforce standards that otherwise I would...
Heaven forbid I miss a hypothetical; I'm not active here. Look at how many posts I have.
I will address the question, though. DSLinux already exists. That's why it didn't get the bounty, no one exerted effort to meet my specs. It's incidental to my request, not a result. I'm not saying they...
Any DSLinux install comes prepackaged with Frotz. It's just normal Linux Frotz recompiled with the ARM processor in mind. Since I'm such a nice guy I'll give you the details before anyone wastes their time, because it could be quite wasted:
-You need a RAM expansion pak or no games will run on...
That sounds like it would be helpful. 77 characters a line might only be a necessity for a rare case anyway, that case being z-code translation infocom invisiclues files. I'm not sure yet though. 64 sounds about as good as I was going to get too, since I started to look for 3-pixel width fonts...
Well, I got someone to make the perfect ergonomic keyboard for the bottom screen. Cross one thing off the list of things a coder needs to do for the project.
I'm looking into pixel fonts and menu designs now.
Still no takers?
You called it, they just erased all the links to this topic.
I guess I'll just have to watch that topic too. At least they were smart enough not to erase the whole thing.
Thanks for reminding me. It's hard to remember the necessary features off the top of my head.
I will edit the original post with these additions:
- No graphics support required, at all, even for the later official Zork games. I think other interpreters can play such games without the graphics...
Thanks for the advice. I'll put the same offer up on the sites you've mentioned and request that replies be funneled into this forum.
Edit: Unfortunately the gbadev forums refuse to send me that annoying confirmation e-mail. I assume the problem will iron itself out eventually and end up in my...
The world is in need of an interactive fiction interpreter for the DS.
There is one interpreter available right now that I know of, papafuji's DSFrotz (Google it). It plays Inform games, but it's a buggy mess and quite incompatible. Try the game break-in.z5, if it behaves for you like it did...
Thanks guys. That's the info I was looking for. I just want to get an accurate experience with the highest compatibility possible, even if there aren't many features like cheats.
I'll probably go with an AK2. From what I see they're on super sale at Realhotstuff.
I have seen the new 52 and dcau animated movies I think they take every opportunity to say his name "Dick", and they say it more often than should have been necessary
