    Not using CerBIOS but after redoing it, the dashboard only comes up AFTER I press the eject button and my stuck disc drive tries to eject. Not really a big deal since I can actually use my xbox now.

    I have a sata to usb adapter I can use. Did you have to resoftmod your new HDD after locking it with the new eeprom?

    I have a 1.6 xbox I plan to softmod, but I also want to replace the hard drive with an ssd. Could I just softmod my xbox, backup the EEPROM with a USB drive and just put the EEPROM on my SSD? That sounds like an easier way than the CHIMP hotswap method.

    Same here, I only have experience with opening up consoles not handhelds. I found some videos where people open up the 3DS and replace a part of the circle pad without messing with the ribbon cables.

    Looks like theres a plastic part under the rubber part that crumbled into pieces. Do I need a new joystick module or do I just need one of these caps?: https://www.amazon.com/HeOTER-Joystick-Thumbstick-Control-Replacement/dp/B0DKMX73Z2 If its the cap, can I just slide it over this nub?

    Yeah I regreased it and it still didn't want it to work. I was gonna do a pot tweak but decided to leave it out for 2 days then try it one more time and it started reading games.

    Well turns out I fixed it, not sure how. All I did was run the drive without the top cover to double check if the laser is even powering on, got frustrated and let it sit for 2 days but now its running discs like a charm. I guess you can ignore some problems and they go away.

    Might give console5 a try if I can get the disc drive to read games. The drive band actually wasnt the problem, it kinda just started ejecting after i cleaned the tray. Sounds like the games are spinning but its struggling, didn't have a lot of grease left so maybe it just needs a little bit...

    I recently got an OG xbox that has a sticky tray. What belt should I use for the disc drive? Or should I just do the boiling water trick. It's a 1.6 board which doesn't have the notorious clock cap but the 5 near the power supply plug on the board tend to leak. Is console5 any good? I've heard...

    I found the ios80 thing being mentioned somewhere else, probably outdated info. Can't even remember where I saw it now. "It is recommended to install Priiloader only on a Wii with unmodified IOSs." Was the excerpt from the link that confused me. I already installed it no issues.
