Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii or WiiU: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

I have problems trying to get an emulated NAND to work on my wii. It has latest HBC installed and bootmii as IOS. I have an external harddrive formatted as FAT32. I'd like to launch an emulated NAND off the external harddrive to play backups of wii games and VC/Wiiware titles. After going...

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii or WiiU: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

I've had the wii for quite a while just never bothered to mod it. Pretty sure it it doesn't have one of the D3-2 drives. Just wasn't sure which options I'm meant to click in Modmii. I think running Neogamma on an emulated NAND is what I'm after.

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii or WiiU: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

The NAND backup is a copy of the wii's system, stored on an SD card, at the current state which you do the backup. It is highly recommended as if you install a bad/corrupted wad or manage to brick your wii, installing the NAND can restore the wii as long as you can access bootmii.

When you try to load the system menu does it say ES identify error or something down the bottom of the preloader screen? If it does then you are probably trying to load the system menu with the wrong IOS. Go into preloaders settings and check what IOS the system menu is set to load with. Try...

If you have finished the modify 4.2 part then you can delete everything from the SD card. Just make sure you have stored the nand.bin, keys.bin and bootmii folder somewhere safe on the computer.

I dont believe that has anything to do with not deleting the folders. You would have just failed to install part/s of the guide correctly. When you redo the guide, make sure everything installs correctly and that your not missing anything. Gl:)

@ Oh Ya. Sorry, screwed up the quoting so had to do it this way. Restoring the nand through bootmii IOS does work as long as you can access the homebrew channel. If you have preloader and no system menu i guess the only fix is to restore the nand. I dont think installing all the wad files for a...
