    I've done an emuNAND with emuMMC using the "SD Partition" option, but no files showed up on the newly created partition, they showed up on the primary one instead. Is this normal? I thought it was a bug at first, but I don't know.

    Like using Lakka? It's safe indeed. Ninty can't log or detect something that isn't even running on Switch's original system. If you are plannning to run RetroArch on Atmosphere (like I do), then you should be worried, on Atmosphere it's like any other "unofficial" nsp as far as I know.
