    Ok, been investigating. I have 2 original backups from before doing anything. Now those hash's match. However if I write it back to DS and then read it back, the hash is different to the original ones. Is this why its not working?

    Renamed files, done exactly as you have said. Still the same, it never ever patches it. I have tried 11.1 to 10.4 firmware files, MD5 hash check out, so they are correct files. Nothing works. I know something is being done to the NAND.bin as the # chances.

    Zip support should already be supported. Have you tried an .adz? An .adz is basically a .zip file with the extension changed to .adz. So game1.zip becomes game1.adz. Give it ago.
