    Of course not, I did the unplug trick. Do not let it do the full update, you'll get double channels and in the worst case a useless Wii.

    Of course it doesn't work because the game needs the update which is on the disc. If you're on a PAL Wii, you won't be playing the game without doing the MP3 trick (or waiting for the PAL release). BTW the MP3 trick works fine, I did it with a 2.1E Wii, no semi-brick and no double channels...

    Well I'm playing Galaxy on a 2.1E Pal Wii just fine. There are other people too who didn't need the 3.1 update to be able to play the game.

    Pal Wii 2.1E Wiikey 1.9g No problems with the Wiikey update, 1.3 config disc worked also. Did the unplug trick for SMG and it works great too. Gotta say that the Wiikey team did a great job!

    Okay time for an update! Pal Wii 2.1E Wiikey 1.9g Got the game working with the unplug trick (at first try). No double channels, no semi-brick and no hanging in the intro sequence. I played to the part where you chase the rabbits.

    Are you sure? Don't wanna semi brick my Wii. With Metroid 3 it worked, cause there were no firmware updates, but SMG has one.

    Hmmm... does anybody know if I can update my PAL Wii with a game disc. I don't have an internet connection for the Wii yet so I'm stuck with 2.1E or something. Does Metroid 3 pal have the 3.1E update?
