    And if you do get one with psram issues, it's more than likely the psram was poorly soldered and reflowing it properly will fix the cart (worked with my sample size of 2)

    I'd actually recommend having 2 resistors and a 3 pin header. That way it can be safely tied to ground, 3.3v or used for other reasons Edit: a sp3t switch could be used instead.

    To be honest, there are some dsone clones, but the majority seem to be dstt(i) and ace3ds+ clones on AliExpress.

    How did you relow it? I used my hot air station and some flux and heated up the ice until I could nudge it a bit and it would shift a little bit before going back into place.

    No problem. You'll read the reviews to buy 2 or 3 in hopes of getting a working one, and for most people this is the best they can do. It does seem to just be poorly soldered psram though so it should be repairable.

    I have an original DS motherboard I have modified for 1 screen operation with no case. So I think I'll just remove the cartridge slot, solder it to a protoboard, and then solder wires to it. Essentially make my own breakout board for it while still passing signals to the cartridge. Either that...
