Hacking EZ Flash Omega not saving in certain games

I'm pretty sure it's your rom Wotofock, try to get a clean ROM, and specially a NO-INTRO rom. If any of your games have (infuriatingly stupid <team something>) intros they will have problems.

Hacking EZ Flash Omega not saving in certain games

Hi, I've been having problems saving with many games, some say "saved" but wont, like Advance Wars, and others just won't let me save, like FF Tactics and Tactics ogre. I have re-flashed the latest firmware and kernel, re-installed the loader, swapped sd card, but nothing works. Any ideas...

    Hardware GBA speaker noise fixed!

Thank you SO MUCH, just did the mod using a 220uf 25v capacitor (after testing a 100uf25v) and I'm super happy without that 'humm', I didn't notice much difference from the 100 to the 220, and placebo effect might have gotten into my ears feeling the 220 with a tiny bit more bass as Z80 here...

Hacking EZ Flash IV NOR writing quickly but not showing up

You just saved me from going to the mental asylum. Wrote the 1.72, didn't work, then wrote the 1.74, my NOR is working now. Now, after writing the 2.02 over the stock 2.01, then 1.78, nothing worked, then I read the above post about the batteries, and since I use a modded GBA with 101 screen...

Hacking EZ4 mini stuck on 2.0 (update screen doesn't show up)

That could be the case, however I fixed that issue by formatting my miniSD, and now that I got a microSD (non-SDHC) it's working flawlessly. I think it's a FAT problem rather than on the kernel side, fragile old file system.. or, bad SD cards. I mention this because I did have problems prior to...

Hacking EZ4 mini stuck on 2.0 (update screen doesn't show up)

Tell me about it! I got my EZflash IV just 4-5 years ago, I'm relatively new to the flashcard scene hehe. When I did I made sure I was getting the best and most 'compatible' stuff, so I went and got my miniSD for 4 times the regular price. It never worked flawlessly for long periods. I just got...

Hacking EZ4 mini stuck on 2.0 (update screen doesn't show up)

This happened to me with 1.76, my mini sd card had a bad formatting that time, plus it used to give me problems getting files (Roms) damaged from time to time. I would suggest you to re-format your sd card to FAT16 (or simply FAT) in case it's formatted as FAT32.

Hacking Simplex - EZ-Flash IV Skin (Kernel 2.02)

I'm proud to release my first skin for the EZ-Flash IV. Thanks to @Localhorst86 who guided me a lot and provided me with the tools to pack and edit this skin into the kernel. I plan to make more skins in the near future. I hope you guys enjoy it! Credits: draxoon for the skin toolkit...

Hacking My first Skin ready to pack

Hello, My name is Daniel a.k.a. Dnilo, Pixel artist. First of all I have always enjoyed Localhorst86's EZflat skin, used it for years. But lately with the release of the 2.0 kernel, I decided to give it a shot and make a skin using the "EZ4_v1.76_Skin_v2+Builder_by_draxoon", however I still...

    Hardware GBA Backlight! (AGB-001)

Hello Woxinum, you almost always need to adjust the pot, but that's when everything is pieced back together and it's just a matter of turning it with a screwdriver a little bit. The switch goes like the image attached and will be located inside a small square in the battery compartment :) fold...

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
