you're [most likely] not going to see any fpga or asic on this board for a variety of reasons. the first being cost. also, from what I understand this is attempting to clone a commercial cartridge. thus nothing will be needed to "trick" the system the way a drivechip would.
Qoob and viper and ninjamod "inject" a new BIOS. That replaces the system menu on boot (similar to how most xbox1 mods works).
Other drive chips (xenogc and DuoQ) are drivemods similar to wii modchips and do not touch the BIOS.
