Homebrew reBadge - an open source Nintendo Badge Arcade and Theme Shop revival, done with ❤️

Assuming this is about discord, There are three big problems with releasing any sort of software on it. 1) you need to join the discord server. This means you need to get an account, and have a valid invite. 2) discord isn't designed for software releases. This makes it a pain to find anything...

Super Mario 64 gets a brand new port on the Nintendo DS, brings support for full local multiplayer

Finally! a way to play mario 64 on the DS! Like a lot of the other people here, i would like to see it get ported to the 3ds with analog support. (and 3d if it can be managed) I thought that there was a hack to get m64DS working with analog controls on the 3ds, or am i just imagining things? It...

Low-level 3DS emulator 3Beans released alongside setup tutorial video

Yeah, I thought this was a research emulator mostly meant for development tasks. This is useful for a lot of stuff, but it probably won't be the best option for playing 3ds games on another machine. This is still an interesting project though, since there is a ton of stuff a higher-level...

Forza Horizon 6 leaks online after Steam preload data was uploaded without encryption

Honestly it seems the xbox360 & ps3 era were peak gaming in a lot of ways. Early game leaks, no live-service microtransacton slopfest, Microsoft wasn't piloted by bug people and actually kinda knew what the kentucky-fried fuck they were doing. (Except for when they didn't) This is objectivly...

Steam Controller gets official release date and pricing, set to launch May 4th

I saw the announcement back when it came out and am glad to see what started as rumors make it's way to the real world for once. I bought a secondhand steam controller a while ago and liked it a lot, and will probably get one of these new ones once it comes out. Its pricey but that makes sense...

Hacking Xbox One Exploit Revealed at RE//verse 2026

Interesting to see. Microsoft's hardware designs may not have always been the best, but you can see their corporate IT background in how seriously they take their console security, and how ruthlessly competent they are at it. Though i wonder how much of the speed we see on the Nintendo and...

Pokemon Winds and Waves announced for Nintendo Switch 2, set to release in 2027

Has it ever been? The internet has been like this or as long as i can remember. (granted, I'm in my 20s so i don't remember anything before web 2) What i have seen looks good, but we have basically no information on what the games will look or be like. The concept footage looked good, but I...

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition gets an even more definitive Switch 2 Edition, features 4K/60 docked performance

NGL, when i wrote my first comment, I totally forgot that the switch uses a different enough architecture that it needs a translation layer. IDK why they did it that way, but if it is an actual well made native recomp/port it kinda makes sense. Also, i am a bit confused on how the pricing...

Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen listings appear on the Nintendo eShop, will release later this month

OH MY GOD you're right, The amount of times i have heard pokéfans (and Nintendo fans in general) bitch and cry about wanting a re release of the classic games and then get pissed when Nintendo doesn't do it the right way is maddening. I understand seeing it here but seeing even the Pokémon...

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition gets an even more definitive Switch 2 Edition, features 4K/60 docked performance

On one hand, I am glad to see that refreshes are no longer charging full price for re-release on new hardware, but charging $5 for higher resolution? Really? Does this at least include higher definition assets? Resolution switching and HRR is a standard feature in PC gaming by the way. They're...

Nintendo is increasing the price of the Switch and other accessories in the US

I've heard that retailers actually like these kind of price hikes, because they get more money from their markup. The product may not move as many units, but at EOL, they probably aren't ordering that many new consoles anyway.

Grand Theft Auto VI trailer 2

Genuinely, watching a GTA moral freakout happen in real time is fascinating. What is even better is watching how the classic "this game encourages violence and crime" has morphed.

"Diddy Kong Racing" decompilation is nearing completion

Watching all the advancements in the n64 scene is wild, from the recomps and new microcodes, to whatever Kaze Emanuar is doing to mario 64, the whole thing is incredible. I just hope that this isn't the last 20% of the progress that takes 80% of the time.

libogc revealed to have used code stolen from Nintendo

NGL the most interesting thing about all of this is the ancient drama between various devs in the wii scene. I get that if this were a current gen thing it would be a big deal, but I'm more surprised that this stuff wasn't already EOL. Also, code gets stolen for the modding scene ALL THE TIME...
