Nintendo reportedly issues DMCA takedown for Switch homebrew projects, Skyline Switch emulator development ceased

Legality aside can’t blame them for trying to pursue tools that break their TOS. Lockpick is also a tool which can be used for playing pirated games on emulators which realistically is going to be what most people have ever used it for

Nintendo reportedly issues DMCA takedown for Switch homebrew projects, Skyline Switch emulator development ceased

Some of the posts in this thread are hilarious. It might be bad for pirates but Nintendo wanting to nuke projects that enable piracy or at the very least break their TOS doesn’t seem unreasonable. Also, a thread full of weirdly angry posts threatening to boycott them is going to achieve...

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been leaked almost 2 weeks from release

I didn’t compare anything, I just stated I have a V1 Switch 😂 Technically if you have a V2 or OLED you can overclock them further I guess?

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been leaked almost 2 weeks from release

It’s running great for me on a V1 Switch, save for the stuttering in the cutscene near the start and a few tiny FPS drops here and there

Can confirm working fine here! 16.0.2/AMS 1.5.2, installed XCI through Tinfoil

    Switch-OC-Suite

I got pretty much a locked 30fps docked just with the memory OC, it’s pretty insane

Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games are coming to Nintendo Switch Online

90%+ of Switch owners are going to be people who either don’t care or don’t know how to emulate, even fewer have a hacked Switch to run emulators on, so this makes sense. I’d be happy to pay for an “official” way of running these games, my issue is the selection is small and the two tier...

Hardware Switch overheating while in Dock or charging

Did it switch off with the overheating message or is there another reason you think it overheated? What kind of temps are you seeing when the fan is running at 20%?

Hardware Does anyone know a reliable way to clean Joy-Cons?

They sound like the same ones as mine, in which case I haven’t yet found a way of getting the dirt out A genuine set or an aftermarket set without the coating would probably be much easier to clean Try and sand these and you’re likely to just make a mess of them

Hardware Does anyone know a reliable way to clean Joy-Cons?

Are they the Extremerate shells with the rubberised texture? I've got the exact same issue with my white ones, the soft touch surface stains and I haven't yet found a way of getting it off. Next time I'll either get the hard plastic ones or a darker colour. I did contact Extremerate to let them...

Hardware Optimizing gameplay experience through sys-clk?

RAM overclocking can have good performance benefits in some games on top of overclocking the CPU + GPU - the OC Suite lets you do it. @ChanseyIsTheBest already explained the benefits of the governor but the dropping of the clocks depending on load lowers the running temps and improves battery life.

Hardware Optimizing gameplay experience through sys-clk?

The governor feature is amazing, with that + the RAM OC it’s become one of my must have pieces of homebrew

why are my temps sp high after a delid

Not sure from the pics, but did the guy get the old silicone off the Cell properly before putting the IHS back on? Looks like the thermal glue hasn’t been cleaned from the RAM chips on the RSX either, or they just have way too much paste on? I would fix the above two and see if that helps as...
