    I haven't updated my wii/my loader in almost a year.. but I think I like just running backups off disc now instead of the external harddrive; I had too many problems with getting it to be recognized.

    No I'm not, it's just the only way I know how to describe it. I know about how people mode individual parts of the firmware. I've had mine modded all the way back since the twilight princess hack. If I do modmii will I lose anything? Any functionality? What should I install as a preloader...
