    I don't think you get it, it's not that their supply line is set back, it's that they have less cards bought by resellers in a set time frame because of returned stock supplying customers that would normally require more cards to be purchased, when they have less cards bought from them in a set...

    If the resellers have extra units from returns they sell those to customers when they would instead need to order more. It sets Gateways's production line back by however many cards are returned, which directly reduces their income by however many cards they're set back by.

    You're inserting "trying" yourself, they specifically promised at least one person that it would be out before the 5th. No, having a set date does not matter, they made a specific promise to people and they haven't kept it, don't bother trusting any future promises either.

    Because even if we assume the Gateway update won't come out until March, Sky will still be blocked, and they will still ask their customers to buy another Card to get around it. GW could update in May and string us along with "the end of the week" the whole time and they'd still be less scummy...

    I don't think there's anything necessarily "wrong" in buying it but it's a full priced card that most won't use once Gateway comes out and others won't use once it's blocked.
