    Exactly, such is the cost of playing games legally ;) IMHO, the Mig is actually shadier and harder to find than dumps.

    Considering that Nintendo delayed the Switch 2 reveal just when the Mig Switch released and how the Mig/Unlock/OpenMig devs are working on a FW update to allow flashcarts to load modified XCI, it seems likely that Nintendo took some measures to prevent usage in the Switch 2. We'll see how those...

    Local Multiplayer is safe to play between banned/clean Switches. I've done it for years and never had an issue.

    It wasn't really a flex, he needed 4 Mig Switch to have all of his game dumps available. Was that the guy that had like 10+ Switches and over 800+ games dumped?

    Seems they joined forces with a new group that not only claims to have fully decompiled Mig Switch's firmware, but also made improvements of their own and willing to go open-source with it. I wouldn't be surprised if these OpenMig guys are just some of the actual Mig Switch team joining forces.

    If you even played/loaded one incomplete dump and/or mix and matched files, you will sooner or later get a ban from Nintendo while using the Mig Switch.

    Casette Beast used Godot 3.5, back then the engine was great for 2D games but still left a lot to be desired with any any 3D effects, plus I presume porting to the Switch wasn't as developed as it was post-4.0

    Wouldn't be surprised if the "OpenMig" team is just the OG Mig Switch team revamping.

    Very unlikely. I might consider it once it is fully moddable and near EOL (after a few price cuts). Since I expect everything but 1st party games to be eventually available on PC anyway.
