Happy 2023 everyone! so recently my og xbox hdd died and i lost all my games and apps. i was able to recover some stuff but unable to find this app. if anyone can help me find it again id greatly appreciate it.thanks.
I check the board again and it seems there is a little bow thats affecting 2 of the 3 screws. If i can find longer screws of the same size as the original it would fix it permanently. For now ill use a temporary fix till i can find proper screws. I guess 3 mins of heat is enough to start...
Thanks for the reply. I did the refow with a heatgun and some flux. No more than 3 mins at about 350c. The blue screen went away and so far its working. Only one screw is really holding the heat sink in place. Can 3 mins of heat cause the board to bow? To me it just feels like the screw hole...
Hey guys, so i did a reflow on the soc to fix a blue screen issue. Unfortunately, when i was screwing down the heat sink the screws didnt tighten at all therefore not holding the heatsink in place.. Is there anyway to fix this?
Its getting harder to boot to hekate each time as it goes to a blackscren more times than not. What hardware components could i check to find out why its not booting hekate consistently.
So after getting hekate to boot i launched sysnand and it boot normally to the home menu. The problem is anytime i do a full shutdown it boots right back to a blue screen.only way around it is to launch sysnand through hekate. Any ideas what to do? The current firmware its on is 9.0.
I had the same problem with my bsod switch which booted to black screen with hekate. It only booted to hekate when i changed the sd card brand i was using. Hekate my have issues with certain sd cards so try a different one and see.
@disco2001, thanks for the sugestion but it seems the issue in my case was the brand micro sd i was using. Hekate seems to be picky with the card it will detect. I use the micro sd i had in my other switch and it booted into hekate. I then chose launch sysnand and it booted normally. It seemed...
I bought this switch on the cheap hoping i could bring it back to life. From what i've read a corrupt nand could be the cause as well as major hardware problems with the cpu/gpu. Hoping for the former i got a guide to downgrade the firmware in order to get it working again. I setup my sd card...
i didn't use ysmenu. i just use r4i v4.0b kernel to test it. i have no experience with ysmenu so i couldnt tell you how to. you could try this thread https://gbatemp.net/threads/ys-menu-7-05-questions-r4i-sdhc-and-rts.545328/
hope that helps.
How do you make a jumper for a PIUSB chip with a single blown off pad to a filter? I see people mention doing it but not how its done with pics. What type, size wire and how to make the attachment. I would be grateful if someone could explain this. Also thanks for all the helpful responses ive...
I was using a cheap portable chinese heat gun. It has a digital read out which didnt seem accurate so i put it on max heat. According to the manual it only goes up to 400c. I will try bridging the pin and pad when i get a fine tip iron and report back.
