Hacking Huge exploit found on firmware 3.0.0: smhax

Uhh. That's not the money that's there. It doesn't take Nintendo's "potential money" because it's not there. You also can't take the money they used on development because that wouldn't make any sense. The money the user pays cannot be taken until they buy something.

Hacking tired of surveys... is there a cfw on 4.07 or not???

There was all of this B.S. in the 3ds community before stuff got released. (Mostly fake emulators)

Homebrew Playing Pokemon Sun/Moon with Version: 9.9.0-26U?

It's a secondary entry point, but since you have a Powersaves it's pretty much a primary entry point.

    Hacking 3DS virus?

It's possible, and a similar thing has happened earlier. Gateway 2.0 bricked 3ds consoles that ran gateway clones.

Hacking why can't gba games boot from emunand

Yes, it would be removed, but if you still have a SysNAND on 9.2 you can reinstall it.

Hacking why can't gba games boot from emunand

It is not likely, however possible. Updating SysNAND would not happen instantly. Because there's the risk of someone turning off their ds they will not do it in the background, and so there would be a popup that alerts the user of them upgrading, which would at least allow the user to hard...

Hacking why can't gba games boot from emunand

My point isn't that they can't break EmuNAND. They can. My point is, if you lose EmuNAND, you can create a new one or restore from backup since you're on SysNAND 9.2. If you lose a9lh, you're dead. The security EmuNAND provides is that If it completely breaks, and a9lh is removed, you still...

Hacking why can't gba games boot from emunand

I personally use al9h + EmuNAND. The difference between A9LH Sysnand and emunand is that they cannot completely kill your entry method. If you use a SysNAND on 9.2 you'll always have an entry point. If you lose A9LH on the latest version of SysNAND, you're screwed. With EmuNAND you can always...

Hacking why can't gba games boot from emunand

EmuNAND is an extra step to be completely safe. A9LH is not completely safe from nintendo. Technically, Nintendo can just replace the arm9loaderhax.bin file on your SD card. They have your OTP since it's on your SD card. If Decrypt9 can wipe A9LH, all nintendo needs to do is on shutdown, replade...

Hacking Is al9h really that secure?

When I said remove it, I meant all data like games and homebrew not installed from the eshop. Or even EmuNAND. I got the part that code execution is secured. Just what code is run is not.

Hacking Is al9h really that secure?

I've been reading about how Al9h + Luma3DS should be able to survive updates, but what about if Nintendo was really trying to remove it? I mean, it seems to me like the "arm9loaderhax.bin" on the SD card or NAND will run every start up. What stops Nintendo from modifying these files? I heard...
