    I already replaced the chip beneath that part, but the short is still there. No chip=no short Hi, that is inductor and is continuous or short on this normal. Maybe start with diode measurement on the port pins to see if all OK

    How did you measure shorts? Diode mode with red probe on the ground? To op i think short on the left is normal but not on other capacitors. Perhaps try to remove max ic and measure again. Inductors (bigger size) are continuous so "short" is desired on them.

    Hi, I have same issue on one of my fixes. Haven't found solution yet but narrowing down to either components around screen connector area (diode or lcd bga 8316) i dont have time atm but will eventually get to it and will let you know if find solution.

    Guessing one of the components gone, something that is responsible for switching it off. Check around fan connector, check resistors for continuity and touch up any affected joints that might have corrosion.

    Hi, it's inductor and should have continuity. I dont know exact value but you can possibly have problem with nearby diode too of inductor gone.

    Hardware Nintendo Switch shorted without M92T36 and P13USB

    Hi have same problem as you, I have removed all caps one by one and it didn't help, also removed m92,p13 and max77620 still shorted. There are few people with same issue which points to soc as suggested. I will be taking them off too to try to solve this.

    Just took off 6 legged diode and short is gone!!! Thank you for suggesting. Now all I have to do is replace 3 ics and port. I have left filter on that line but will it work without that 6 legged friend??? Thank you
