A multi-platform port for Pokemon Emerald is in the works, supports Windows, Linux, and Android

Calling this a "Fan Pokemon game" is a huge stretch lol.

Emulation Emulator PCSX2x6 - A 'New' Namco System 246/256 Emulator Released

The name really makes perfect sense, though, it's a Namco "2x6" (246/256) emulator; it's PS2 hardware that runs in arcade machines, and the emulator is a fork of PCSX2. The name is as "on the nose" as it possibly could be.

Emulation Emulator PCSX2x6 - A 'New' Namco System 246/256 Emulator Released

This is an arcade emulator, not a PS2 (retail) emulator. Please read, I did explain this. PCSX2 devs don't bother supporting Namco 2x6 systems, so someone took it upon themselves. 1781296280 That's why I bothered to explain what this is pretty succinctly myself, while the video I liked is...

Emulation Emulator PCSX2x6 - A 'New' Namco System 246/256 Emulator Released

A new contender hits the arcade emulation scene, this time targeting Namco's System 246/256 arcade platforms, which are modified PlayStation 2 consoles at their heart. The emulator itself is a fork of the ever-popular PCSX2, and carries over many of its features and capabilities as a result...

Twilight Princess PC port "Dusk" gets its first release

Saying that Smash 64 port works is extremely generous.

Pay $60 for a cleaner browser with less features? Yes, it's a thing.

Meh, I use Floorp now and it gets the job done. Still has some crummy AI features, to a degree, unfortunately, but they can just be turned off at the user's will instead of being thrust upon you without any escape. Feels and functions enough like Firefox that it's based on to make it easy to use.

Hot Take: The Switch 2 Could've Been Better With Discs

Current gen disc games are actually more similar to game key cards than standard Switch 2 cartridges, or more or less like the games that *require* digital downloads to be playable. None of the current gen consoles using discs tend to load the entire game from the disc, even though there is...

Hacking Homebrew [Beta Release][Tester wanted] Kernel9 patch to speed up boot speed on high capacity SD card

It'd be cool if free space could be written to (by a module) a txt file somewhere on the SD card during a shutdown and then read on boot in place of scanning the card wholly replacing the FAT read while maintaining a relatively accurate measure of available storage space, but I don't know if...

Pokemon Champions gets new overview trailer, launches April 8th

I'm very confused why anyone is surprised that the thing that was always presented as an online battle simulator requires a network connection.

Digital Nintendo-published titles to be cheaper than physical releases going forwards

Yeah, but physical games getting more expensive already happened, that is not actively happening now. We're over that hump. Digital games are falling back to what they would have cost before the price increase.

    Homebrew GBARunner2

No one's trying to claim it's perfect. It's not even released yet ✌️😂 The point is that the hicode branch kinda just works with most games with very little fuss, and that's cool.

Give-away A controller for your thoughts - win a free controller!

Looking forward to: Dead or Alive 7 (no release date announced yet :ohnoes:) Favorite ROM hack: Pokémon Shiny Gold (or Shiny Gold X, both are tied for #1 in my heart; Runner-up Pokémon Liquid Crystal). I used to make ROM hacks for that generation of Pokémon back then, too, and I can really...

    Do we need "next-gen" consoles?

I just recently picked up a Series X. I'm not super excited about the next Xbox, personally, if it's just going to become even more of a PC. I have a PC for that. Also gonna point fingers at AI for the stagnation of progress in the tech space in general. Lots of money going into pandering to...

Tutorial Create an NDS-Compatible Hotspot on Linux

Yeah, this guide doesn't account for very specific hardware configurations such as Steam Deck as they may require different steps than the average desktop or laptop. The guide works expectedly (as written) on a standard Linux desktop install in most circumstances.
