    Hardware GBA SP unusual audio jack adapter issue

    Do you have a friend with another SP to try the adapter? It may be a faulty adapter, to have a broken port is a corner case.

    GBA SP Doesn't power on

    GBA SP switch can be very unreliable. Try to open the shell and spray the switch with some contact cleaner and move it on and off. Make sure your batter has some charge.
