I'm definitely not blaming the chip here, it was an insanely stupid mistake by me.

I used regionfree on the PAL ISO (plus brickblocker) and used the "Metroid Method" (start the update, unplug the Wii about 1/3 through the update). Whoops.

The game works fine, but this morning when I went to look at my settings tab, I can see that I'm semi-bricked.

So am I waiting until Nintendo includes a 3.3 update on a game? Or is it possible to just rent a NTSC MKWii (at the end of the month), and install the 3.2 update?

Thanks folks

Would MKWii (NTSC) do the trick? Or did I burn that bridge by loading the PAL?

My apologies for replying to my own question

It should work.
It won't work.

Oh, okay.
Oh, I didn't explain

When my wii was "9/10 bricked" I tried a 2.2E update (I was already at firmware 2.2E) and it didn't work. Then, SMG got released (3.0E) and I repaired my Wii

So he needs a 3.3E firmware

Gotcha ... so, he either has to get a later firmware, or a disc with the same firmware, but with additional updates, that he does not already have.

I see the post from a couple days ago that tries to outline games containing this update... It appears to me that no one here is aware of another game that contains the 3.2 update (except MKWii). Is that the consensus or did I miss something.

that sucks! ahh well, live and learn.

I'll pick up a copy of SSBB from Blockbuster on the way home - just to see whether it does the trick (I'm fairly confident it won't).

Hi Guys
I am on the same boat as Killface.
Someone suggested to use wii channel remover v2 to remove the duplicate channels. Would this help?
Sorry for being a noob with that question, but i am still learning all of this.
Thanks
PS: i also tried the ssbb but my wii doesnt even read the CD. It has no problems reading the wii sports or wiiplay but it doesnt read ssbb.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Mario Kart Wii has the 3.1v2 update, not the 3.2 update, right now the only way u can get this update is trough the internet, (this is because the 3.2 update mostly affects compatibility with Wii ware games...)
(so basically mario kart and ssbb have the same update (both 3.1v2))

Any idea what the next big nintendo game that's likely to contain 3.2 will be? For future reference, SSBB and MKWii both have 3.1v2.
