Hey,

I'm trying to play Shiren the Wanderer on my PAL TV via the Configurable USB Loader.
So far I didn't get that to work, only NTSC. The 'Force PAL60' option worked fine on other games
(Sin & Punishment 2, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (US), No more Heroes (US)), but with Shiren
I only get a black screen, both with PAL50 and 60. The game functions if I don't mess with the video,
but it's black & white because my TV doesn't work with NTSC.

Anybody got any ideas how I could get it to work in PAL? Software ideas only, building or buying a NTSC->PAL
converter box is out of the question for now.
Thanks in advance.

Hmm, I did shortly mess around with GX yesterday, maybe it was an old version. Not sure about that,
never used it before and used it off a SD card of my roommate, so no idea what version it was. I'll get
the most recent version and post if it worked ASAP.

Nope, it doesn't work with the Force PALXX options, and without I get NTSC (black & white).
Are you sure that your TV isn't simply NTSC and PAL compatible?
Most of the newer (especially HD) ones are.

It's a color TV, but if a PAL only TV gets a NTSC signal to display the picture is black & white
because it can't process the color information.

I'm also having this problem using Configurable USB Loader. Is there any way to get the game working in PAL using it? I don't really want to switch to another USB loader for one game.

I've just noticed that Power Punch has the same video issue.
NTSC game too.

My mistake sorry, with all video patches+Force PAL60 Power Punch works pretty well.

But for Shiren, still no workaround so far ?...
