ShowMiiWads is a 'WAD File Manager' for Windows.
The .NET-Framework 2.0 is required to run this application!
The (Common-)Key.bin is required for most Wad Editing features.
Please report your bugs, suggestions and everything else to: leathl [at] gmail [dot] com
You can simply translate the application by editing the example.slang, if you
want to have your translation included into the program, mail me..

!Important Note!

I decided to release this version and head over to the next one.
Some of the new features are untested! Use them on your own risk and be sure
to have BootMii/boot2 with a NAND Backup!
I'm currently working on my own wad class that will be used in the next version
instead of external apps. I hope to get rid of problems that prevent some
features to work for some people (at least everything worked on my 3 pc's...)

Disclaimer:

Editing WAD files can result in a brick of your Wii.
Only use these features if you have a bricksafe Wii, meaning either Preloader or
BootMii/boot2 is installed, and if you know what you're doing.
Also, your Wad files could be destroyed, so be sure to have a backup.

This application comes without any express or implied warranty.

1) preview of pictures may or may not come in the future

animation definitely not (except i had a code to play them, but there is none i think

)
2) i don't get your drift.. extraction of wad files is possible (including app files of course), and why preview them
blink.gif

3) you can't just change the path of a forwarder .dol. you'd need to insert a new .dol to forward to the new location.. will be possible in future i think

thanks for your suggestions

I'm going to have fun with this. I've wondered how long till some form of PC Wad Manager is created, I didn't realize I had so many XD

My only requests are;
a way to preview the banner; not a big deal but I'm sure many others would agree
smile.gif

Have it search within folders. I have my wads categorized (/Wads/Forwarders, /Wads/Channels/, /Wads/System Menus/, /Wads/NES, etc) and I would like to just have it find all of them if I tell it to look in /Wads. Also not a big deal at all, but it might be nice for someone in my position.

yeah previewing of banners and icons is a good idea, but i'm focused in my wad class to get rid of most external tools first

for your folders, just select them in windows explorer and drag them onto the application, it will add them all

if i got some time, i will add support for subfolders, so you can just drag your /Wad/ folder to make things easier

I didn't try it yet, but I would like to add a suggestion too.

It's great to have "install to NAND" now, I'll try it.
Could you add a NAND emulation browser, to see installed wiiware/VC games, and an option to uninstall them ?

Thank you for your time spent on this program

hey, that's a nice idea

great to hear that it works
smile.gif

the common-key.bin is copied to the application directory when needed, and deleted afterwards
biggrin.gif

will be changed in the next release.

Very, useful app. Nice.

Oh, and you should add other features... like... Banner editing... Instead of the U8 Crap you have to go through to edit the banner...

This is a picture of the new NAND Browser (ShowMiiNand) that will be integrated in the new Version of ShowMiiWads.
You'll see all Titles installed on your NAND Backup and you'll be able to pack them to a wad file (currently in work
