When i find out that it plays GBA games.
When i can pirate these GBA games on it.
When i find out that you can pirate everything from DSiWare.
Custom Firmware.
 
if i don't own any DS... i would definitely get a DSi

DSi is freaking EXPensive

i'll wait until my birthday, then i get the money and maybe a DS game. anway. don't let your DSi fall, in a few seconds after the fall it's broken already. so be careful!
 
I'm getting one in 2 weeks. I'm getting it in case the upcoming Pokemon games will be DSi exclusive (yes, I'll buy them)

But if it weren't for Pokemon, I would get a Lite.
 
For me, it would be a combination of things:

a) Good DSi exclusive titles that utilize the enhanced CPU/memory of the DSi. (Not the bloody cameras..) These games would have to be a significant improvement over what's available for the DS currently;
b) New colour choices, as the existing ones are really ugly;
c) A proper DSi flashcart or SD card solution;
d) Game Boy/Game Boy Colour/Game Boy Advance games on a virtual console type deal;

Basically there has to be a damn good reason, because right now, there is no good reason at all. The DS Lite is still the better choice.
 
I'm gonna buy this when i get the money, ow yeah!...
I already sold my DSTT for a DSTTI XD... but really, there are so many things that are better on this handheld.. most ppl don't like it because they think it's more like a gadget... well... there you have on reason XD.....
and there are going to be games with DSi exclusive... what am I going to miss??? another sloppy guitar hero for the DS that wil probably be the end?... i still have the old one, and sometimes, when I puch the on button, it goes of by itself :S... i really need a new one....
naw, i'm really buying the new one XD
 
I would have waited for it to be hacked and MUCH better DSiWare games to be released. But, I had two DSLs and I wanted to take advantage of the bonus trade-in credit at GameStop.

So now I have one, which is cool, but I'm chomping at the bit for news about it being hacked.

Mine fell twice and it works fine.

Note: Most of the good DSiware will be Japan only so take that in account and import if you really want one, you'll still be able to play US/Europe DS games on it anyway. Don't expect localization of premium titles such as Dragon Quest Wars.

Probally when a good Dsi Only games apeared(otherwise i'll stick with ndsl)
this is only a pre-evolution of the DS, im expecting a bigger leap in the future(like GBA to NDS kind of leap)

You will never get custom firmware or be able to pirate DSiWare games, will you people get that through your heads? You can't pirate DSiWare and never will be able to, it would take far more processing power in order to create software that could run on a flash card in order to do that, just pay for it for crying out loud, there isn't much out right now anyway.
 
I would pick 'When it gets hacked' or 'When GBA emu is achieved'...but i didnt see them in the poll-options.

My DSL does everything i want it to..vids, tunes, pics, books, comics, organiser, web browser, MSN, Twitter, alarm, notes, guitar tuner...SNES, NES, Megadrive, Gameboy, Neo Geo emu... AND IT PLAYS GBA.
