I've finished my Sonic Mania Wii port forwarder.
Avaliable for Wii and vWii of Wii U.

Thanks to @Zorg1996 for the original channel banner and channel icon design, i've tweaked a bit for make it look like a Wii (WiiWare) game.

The vWii forwarder i've converted using WiiForwarder2vWii.

EDIT: Both forwarders load the boot.dol in this location: apps/SonicMania/boot.dol

SD card tested only, i haven't tested it in a USB drive.

Downloads of the forwarders are avaliable in the attachments of this post.

Enjoy, saulfabreg (@SaulFabre)
Thank you so much, I tried making my own but they would never load past a black screen. (I tried CustomizeMii and Simple Wii Forwarder whatever it's called, but I didn't have any luck, and my paths were correct on both.)

I've made a video of how is the progress of the development of this unofficial Wii port of Sonic Mania (with the DLC enabled), as of October 8, 2022.

vwii? does it work on normal wii yet?
It does work on all Wii, vWii (Wii U), and Dolphin Emulator.

This is what it would look like if it were Sonic Mania Plus 😎

Is the GC controller supported?

If not, could it? Please?

Also: Does anyone know if a PS3 port is maybe in the works?
I wasn't going to do this, because I hate the ps3, but I'll try to compile it. I don't even have the toolchain installed, installing now.

I wasn't asking for a port, but I really appreciate it.

This is the probably the best Sega published Sonic released in a long time.
It's a shame that Sega didn't allow this game on that generation of consoles as it I think it could have been an even better success for them.

I noticed that, as other(s) mentioned that the special stages slow down. I wonder if this is being software rendered.
If so that may be why, and maybe the developer could maybe add 240p and a GC port.
