@godreborn I'm not speaking spain either but you can just follow the link of the quote to get the english original text.

Other than that please do not missinterpret what elf2rpx does: It does not magically transform a .elf homebrew into a .rpx! To understand this more you need to understand what a .elf and what a .rpx file really is as well as how Wii U homebrews evolved:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executable_and_Linkable_Format
https://github.com/yawut/ProgrammingOnTheU
... there are more links describing this but I can't find them real quick and want to go to bed now.
looks like he's mentioning docker, which I don't know what has to do with anything. docker may be usable with these builds. it would be easier if so, and you might even be able to use windows. I used msys64, debian, and visual studio for all of them. I couldn't figure out how to use android studio for the apk. not sure how you add a dependency which I think was the problem.

@godreborn We're talking about different things it seems. There's a reason Docker was mentioned (that originates from my statements before that quote) for building a forwarder. Anyway, will go to bed now... And hope @Lostbhoy will be able to translate my nerd bla-bla to a user friendly how-to in the end. :)
Once I get this thing sorted and get docker installed I plan to make a tut on how to do this so anyone can try.

ah, I see. I didn't look for the original post, so I got confused.

I'm confusing more people than myself now sorry.... Docker is used for building and I've been trying to get my head around it.... It was bsolutely unrelated!!

If anyone doesn't know.... Just change the name of your rpx file as you would rename any file in windows... Right click, enter the name (sonicmaniaplus.rpx), click anywhere else on your desktop/folder, done.

I did that and the game doesnt seem to boot up, it just sits there on my home menu now. I already did the renames and everything

Its ok, I'm kinda rusty when it comes to my hacked Wii u. I don't play it as much, unlike My hacked PS3 or hacked Vita.
meanwhile for me, i havent booted my wii u in months until i heard about the sonic mania port. I'm still using indexiine for crying outloud! tiramisu is the hot new thing apparently so i really need to get on that

hmm I'm kinda new to the hack Wii U, never heard about indexiine. When I hacked my Wii U about 2 years or almost 2 years ago. I had hachi, and almost a year later I upgraded to tiramisu and it first released. I really like tiramisu.

Aw man I'm so sorry guys. I'll have a look and get back to you.

I'm having a mare tonight lol
Hey, the Forwarders are working for me now. Here's my setup.
SD:/install/Sonic Mania Plus
-I used the Plus download from Lostbhoy post. I also have sonicmania.rpx in my:
SD:/wiiu/apps/sonicmania/sonicmania.rpx
-sonicmania.rpx was called SonicManiaPlus.rpx, but I renamed it to match sonicmania.rpx.
-I than went to my Homebrew Launcher, go to WUP Installer GX2 and install the Sonic Mania Plus file which is now deleted until fixed from Lostbhoy post. And it installed it on my Menu and it loaded the game fine. But, the Wii U did freeze whenever I try to exit the game from dev menu or the home button.

You change the name of the rpx, not some reference to it...? In other words:

//EDIT: Or do you want to make a forwarder for some completely unrelated project? In that case... I won't repeat myself over and over again anymore, so wait for the guide of @Lostbhoy
thanks, it works now

that is a port error, it is best to turn off the console normally until this error is solved

Does anyone know of how to make like a second homebrew channel that directs to a different directory folder of apps? I want to make a "homebrew channel" of just this page of it:
CstucoC.png

(Ideally one day with Sonic 3 AIR to really complete the package)

And then with its own channel, I would stylize the banner, icon, and meta data to be Sonic Classics HD or something like that. I'm sure there must be a way to make a separate homebrew channel to read from a separate directory, I just don't know how, so if anyone could help, I'd really appreciate it, heck, I could then do the same for GTA 3 and Vice City (shame those decomps stopped there for the Wii U).

What seriously? They're just homebrew apps, you edit the xml to change the descriptions of your homebrew apps, and change the .png icon to be what you want with your preferred image editor.
I think I did not use the right program, when I tried to do it in XLM it seemed only 01010101
