So I just got my (homebrewed) New 2DS XL back from an official repair from Nintendo, and it works, but not when the microsd card is in. When trying to turn it on while the microsd card is in, the blue light goes on but nothing happens. When inserting the microsd card after I already turned it on, it just freezes. I thought at first that it was just due to the repair being faulty or whatever, but I put the microsd card into my original 3DS XL and the same happened. I don’t have a computer on me right now so I can’t check whats in the card on there but I’m scared that they did something to the card because it was homebrewed.
also there was tape on the bottom of the 2ds that just said “SD”
so does anybody know why this is happening/any fixes?

You should see what files are inside that sd card. And ultimately testing it with h2testw to make sure it's not faulty.
I want you to try to boot into GodMode9 by holding "select" on boot, and Luma3DS menu by holding "start" on boot, without the sd card inserted in. And report back if you did access both. If you didn't, then cfw on your 3ds was uninstalled.

What? You mean recently? How were you banned exactly? And what led to it?
I was on 3DSIdent, I had opened the Rosalina menu accidentally, NNID stuff disappeared and stuff. User information except for the name and stuff gone too. Exited it, 3DS crashed. After rebooting I went onto RPG Maker Fes Player, I went to download games on the software, and it had shown me an error message. Error code 002-0121, "This device's access to online services has been restricted by Nintendo.". Right now, it just shows me a communication error and the "An error has occurred" error. Probably due to Pretendo being installed on my 3DS. I do not wish to open Rosalina on online games anymore, but I'm probably still banned.

I apologize for the extremely belated response, the site wasn’t letting me post. Anyway, I tried doing that and it didn’t work, and I checked the sd and it seemed exactly the same. Would it be possible for me to just wipe the microsd card and jailbreak it again? A normal microsd card works and it seems that there isn’t any homebrew software left on the 2ds

You don't need to re hack it, since it is already hacked, your issue is probably the micro SD card, as suggested you should do the h2testw to confirm if the card is any good.

That is the one thing I haven’t tried and I was just thinking about doing so. I’ll do that now and check back later

Make sure to select the "read & verify" option in h2testw.
Format the sd card as Fat32 32kb cluster size before and after the test.
Obviously, backup your data before doing so.

There are already Luma3DS files in the root. Am I supposed to replace them, just put those files there again, or what? I doubt that it's that second option but I'm still not sure.
You were supposed to empty the sd card before testing it with h2testw, so that's why i said you'd put boot.firm (Luma3DS) on the root of the sdcard (again). Anyway, just place the latest Luma3DS and test again.

At this point I'm ready to move on and get a new microsd card unless somebody does know a solution to this, so now I have 2 more questions:
How do I retrieve/keep my save files that I haven't backed up since I still have the system and the microsd card?
Is there anything I should know before modding a system that's already been modded before?

Just connect the card to a pc, copy whats on there. Do you know if the card was formmated to FAT32? it may not be.
