...would I be able to bypass game-specific bans?

NOT console-wide bans, but game-specific bans that are usually given for posting anything Nintendo thinks is bad.

I heard you can use a certificate from another game to evade a game specific ban but this will sooner or later get your entire console banned. Not sure how to do it or if it still works.

Thanks, Mr. Obvious... I am asking why they can't, not whether they can...
Every game card has unique data on it, allowing them to identify a specific game cart.
If I remember it correctly, one of the things used is a certificate signed by Nintendo.
And since we don't have nintendos data for signing we can't create valid replacement data.
For digital games I think something similar was included in the ticket.

I know it's server-side... But how come the credentials that are sent to Nintendo for auth cannot be spoofed?
Beyond cartridge and console identifiers, if the credentials to identify you being sent to Nintendo could be spoofed so easily, how would Nintendo ever be able to tie achievements and rewards to specific users? The whole point of credentials is to identify someone. If the credential mechanism is flawed the entire system falls on its face as you'd have stolen accounts all over the place.

Theoretically if your credentials are banned, you could create a new account with new credentials, but that usually means starting over in said game as well.

It's a CONSOLE ban, not ACCOUNT ban. If it was an account ban, I would just create a new account and go ahead.

Same difference, if it were easy to spoof the credentials of a console or cartridge, the entire credentialing system would fail. Things like that were worked out decades ago. Should you somehow make Nintendo think your console is someone else's, it would become obvious that multiple consoles were connecting with the same credentials and likely both would get banned.

You seem to ask a lot of questions regarding hacking/cybersecurity, have you investigated these fields? Many of the things you ask about are only possible in movie/tv world or can only be accomplished by alphabet agencies with unlimited resources.

If your console is banned then you're fucked. Spoofing your prodinfo with one from an unbanned console doesn't work apparently. The best thing to do with a banned console is to solder a modchip in and treat it as a piracy machine.

Well, the ban is for 14 days. It's not permanent, unlike most bans. I however need something to soften the 2 weeks.
