Thanks @Gamerjin and @SaipanDamashii , I got the Monster Rancher 1 codes to work! I re-added the cheat file, upgraded my DeepSea, and did a restart. First time this has happened but now I know.

Those 3 things I mentioned - make a fresh cheat file / dir, download the latest DeepSea (upgrading Atmosphere), and restarting my Switch with a fresh RCM reboot. This did the trick for me.

Ok, I did some further digging and managed to find some stats codes as well as the code to set the Will. I tried to do the Loyalty but that one might be a pointer and I haven't quite figured out how to make those yet. Here is my updated codes list.

Hmmm, do these codes set the individual stats or do they adjust the growth rate for the monster? Just wondering why the stats are set at the specified amounts.

Would these codes work for the U.S. version using Edizon? How were you able to edit the game using Edizon? It crashes for me when I load into the game (1 or 2) and then start Edizon.

They should work for the US version, as that's the one I have. However, I think you need to install EdizonSE and use that to load the cheats, not normal Edizon and selecting the game from the app.

Yes, they do indeed set individual stats to the number shown in the code's title The stats are set at the specified amounts because I was just testing the codes when I was searching the addresses out haha And there are two sets because the first time around I was searching on u8 so they are all capped out at 255, then the second set the ones that all say 255+ were all searched on u16 so they can go up to 999.

Ok so I have a question and I really hope someone can answer or at least point me in the right direction, I downloaded cheats for the latest Pokémon Sword and Shield games versions 1.3.2 both BID txt as well as the TID folders are the same as the game and both files are in the correct folder (atmosphere/contents/cheats...) but both are not showing at all, they say "No cheats available for this game" am I doing something wrong? Or this version breaks cheat codes?

I dont know if its a bug inside game,but even if i ve activated green switch to unlock green door,a particular green door doesnt open (im at the final stage).
