This is more misinformation. As ususal. You can't go online with any non-legit games on atmosphere either. You'll get banned. The simple act of using SXOS WON'T get a ban if you run it in EmuNAND OFFLINE. Just don't go online or use a method to block ninty servers.

Yea you could run multiple partitions and remove game cart to boot sx os, or run multiple sd cards, but that's just more hoops you have to jump thru on top of the work arounds to run certain games on sx os, all just to keep a hdd tethered to your handheld device full of games you'll mostly never play on a cfw that'll never get updated. 1tb sd is plenty

That's your opinion. Mine is that you're wrong again. You can shrink the emunand. It's not Just a handheld device My SXOS installation is 8GB. 5TB HDD and 1 TB SSD for handheld. Its convenient . I run sd readers. WiFi enabled SD cards, all sorts of stuff. Hotswappable. The OP wanted both. You CAN hae different firmwares and it works well. Confusing the issue and presenting your opinion as fact is not helpful. And you were flat out wrong saying you'll get a ban. Not offline you won't. We don't need the propaganda.

While it's true you should consider a new CFW for your daily driver, you can have both. Any posts telling you to ditch SXOS is because they jaded and are not aware how great and convenient USB loading is, What you're looking for is EmuNAND. I wrote a guide to having 2 on the same SD. You can even shrink them. People telling you to abandon SX are missing the point

EmuNANDs (aka EmuMMC) are a copy of the internal chip. While using a EmuNAND your internal chip is not used and the system thinks the SD is the internal chip. You can have separate firmware. Standard method is 1 EmuNAND on a SD in a hidden partition. There are file based EmuNANDS but they are well know to corrupt. Hidden partitons do not corrupt. You could have different FW on them. You could just set up a seperate SD for SXOS. Beware, the sd slot is garbage and tends to break.

My tutorial runs through how to have 2 Hidden Partition EmuNANDS on the same card. You can shrink the SXOS one if you like. I consider SXOS for loading XCI OFF OF USB DRIVES ONLY. For everything else you can use Atmosphere. Only about 10 games don't work as a XCI on USB at the moment so it is still a great solution for easy to use hot swappable storage.

XCI can be installed in the same manner as NSP in atmosphere but you will lose USB loading if you move to a strictly Atmosphere setup.

Even when SXOS was new and being updated they still tried to get you to switch like poorly programmed robots. They do this with lies and half truths. Like you see above. It's really sad. It's like the SXOS team stole their GF, spanked them and took away their birthday.

This is what I needed to hear. As I said 2 of my kids have a couple of usd cards from which they play their favorites games in xci and they are able to add/remove games they like by themselves.
I have ordered a new usd card that should be delivered tomorrow.
I will then follow your tutorial and most likely pm you.

Updates are typically small, you have to do the same on Atmosphere anyway and you cant have a 5TB SD. You can have a 5TB HDD for $70. I don't understand why you say things like SXOS is useless. over 3000 games run perfectly on it and like 10 don't at the moment. Putting up posts about ditching it when you don't even use it is stupid. You're not helping.

On sale at Best Buy. It's back to $109 but it will drop again. WD. Easystore. I picked up another one last week but this one cannot be downgraded to the Windows XP Mode for some reason. Says the firmware is not compatible. I'm probably going to take it back and get the WD black one and try that. I'll let you know if interested

Created a new hidden EmuNand from the SX OS menu

Now looking to resize it using MiniTool Partition Wizard but it says exFat and not Fat32. Does it matter ?

exFAT fucks up your sd card (file corruption). Use fat32 instead.

I formatted to Fat32 and resized to 29.34Gb. Do I need to copy my Nand backup or any other file to the Fat32 partition (I suppose I lost everything when formatting from exFat to Fat32) ?

I'm kinda lost here and don't know what steps I am missing to make it work.
I followed the tutorial (https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...en-partitions-on-the-same-sd-tutorial.601607/) up to this:

I ran TegraRcmGUI_v2.6_portable and injected the fusee.bin payload.

When I power on the console, it loads up Hekate and if I go to Payloads and select Fusee, I briefly get the Atmosphere logo and then a black screen.
