Dear friends, already got the code for the Simpsons hit and run game, and is it possible that they do the same as GTA 3 from Re3 for 3ds????????

It may be possible, we know the 3DS has had ports of PS2 games, but there may still be legal issues, especially if using the leaked source code.

NAL but AFAIK the best legal defence would be to ‘clean room’ reverse engineer the game, which is likely easier said than done.

GTA 3 was reverse-engineered, which is completely different from using leaked code. They wrote their own engine from scratch to use legally-purchased assets from the official game.

It's unlikely anyone would bother porting H&R to 3DS with the leaked code since the legal status would doom it from the start. A better route would be to write your own engine, which despite what Take Two want people to think, is completely legal.

It's probably possible, but given that the source code is leaked, even if there's nobody who could sue about it, it wont happen. That's because the 3ds homebrew devs are a bunch of pussies when it comes to copyright. While it's possible, unless the devs stop freaking out over copyright, it isnt gonna happen.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
