ROM Hack Discussion How many of you go online with cheats or mods on MHRise?

I'm not judging or anything. I am making this thread to keep track and determine whether it's safe or not to go online with cheats or mods. It doesn't matter what you use. Be it unlimited stamina, unlimited item consumption, godly charms, damage modifier, etc or mods like 60fps. I will come back to this thread after a month to see if any you got banned.

Edit: sorry for the usage of foul words. I am open to your opinions against using cheats.

specifically in Rise? I am aware of people getting banned in Splatoon.

I used modified charm and playing online since a week ago.

Ban are never instant. Going online with active ram mods like damage multipliers or infinite life / stamina will get you a ban eventually. Inventory modifications may be fine if they're done offline but even that is a risk.

Using 60fps mod online in Atmosphere, playing online for a week. So far so good. Used it in MHGU over a year ago as well as a handheld mode while docked patch online for months, and used emuiibo in ACNH even online and some edizon cheats for over a year now. Had CFW running playing SMM2 last year. Still nothing.

Never ran CFW in games like Splatoon 2. Never installed any nsp's at all, rarely used exefs patches, no homebrew, emulators, or any pirated games.

There's always a risk, but in my experience, as long as you're not installing things and you pay attention about the games you launch in CFW, you're probably fine. As always, don't do anything you're not willing to lose, though.

This is one of those examples where a paying customer gets screwed. I got the game, but performance is atrocious in 4 player hunts. I would like to be able to overclock a bit and stabilize it, but only if i play offline...

Report everything you want, the only thing capcom is doing is removing bannable names, no one has ever been banned from editing save or using cheat in a MH games.

To people who plan on using edited save or cheats, be aware that going online with CFW and cheats is a huge flag from nintendo, so you might get ban from NSO.

For save editing, and cheats, do this offline, and when you are done you can go online safely, don't listen to salty people who tries to scare you.

AFAIK there is only two games that check saves in the switch, and give ban, it's Smash Bros and Splatoon.

I've been using edited save for many games, ACNH, PKMN etc and i'm not ban at all.

got my console banned in 2019, never played online but was connected to wifi. so yah going online is probably more unsafe with mods

As long as you don't have anything related to piracy installed on sysnand, and stay away from online when you extract or inject save , or cheat inside a game, you are mostly fine.

I have been cheating in ACNH and many other games for a full year, with no bans at all.

I even play PKMN online with gen mon with PKHEX

Its simple Just sending email to them with screens and all gathering data from game ;-)
