So i just installed Homebrew on my ver 11.13 3DS, and i was wondering if it allows me to play region locked games. If so, How? If not, how can i play region locked games?
LumaLocale just changes a parameter in the configuration file of Luma3DS to force games to recognize the console as another region. What makes the console region free although, is Luma3DS and by itself can work alright with most games without using LumaLocale.Once you have the CFW installed, install LumaLocaleSwitcher.cia using FBI. It allows you to play out-of-region games.
Yep exactly as you said about 98% of out of region games will work with zero issues without the need to use LumaLocale.LumaLocale just changes a parameter in the configuration file of Luma3DS to force games to recognize the console as another region. Enter to the eShop. In some cases, just doing that fixes the problem (however, dunno if it works in case of out-of-region VC Pokémon games)I don't know what I am doing wrong, though. Tried to install A japense VC game (pokemon green) and the system crashes when I try to run it. Do I have to install any other file besides the cia or enable something in Luma nesides the patching thing? Sorry to revive this old thread..
With out of region eshop titles like VC Pokemon titles you need to start FBI then select titles then select the eshop game. Lastly select import seed and FBI will download and install the missing seed and the game will now workEnter to the eShop.
